Important Participant Information & Details for
Artist, Galleries, Restaurants, & Sponsors

Event Information
The Seminole Cultural Arts Council (SCAC) is excited to announce the 2019 Seminole Open Studio Tours.  These free, two-day events will promote Seminole County artists, studios and galleries and contribute to the economic and cultural vitality of the  area.  SCAC is inviting art enthusiasts to bring friends and family to meet a variety of outstanding local artists as they exhibit original works in their creative surroundings.

The events will take place the weekend of May 4-5, 2019 (date change) and December 7-8, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Showcase booklets/catalogs will be available at art venues, enabling visitors to follow a prescribed tour schedule of host studios, galleries and participating restaurants throughout Seminole County. The booklet/catalog, which serves as an artist directory, will also be available online at the SCAC website and will be distributed to sponsors, advertisers and artists to promote the venues year-round.

ABOUT SCAC
The Seminole Cultural Arts Council (SCAC) is a catalyst for the preservation of local cultural and historic heritage, including performing, literary, and visual arts and sciences.

Formed in 1994, the SCAC is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization offering sponsorships, fundraising events, a county-wide grants program, a county Arts and Cultural map, and community-based arts programs. Utilizing social media, the SCAC acts as a clearing house for arts and culture news and announcements in Seminole County and Central Florida.
The mission of SCAC is to serve, support and nurture the cultural and artistic needs of our residents, and to sustain, develop and advance the cultural life of Seminole County. SCAC advocates throughout Central Florida for Seminole County’s art-rich community, and aims to inspire the cultural livability of our community through the arts.

In May of 1995, the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners designated SCAC as the official recipient of Florida State of the Arts   specialty license plate revenue. With this and other funding, SCAC is able to provide annual grants in our community to qualifying Cultural or Historical organizations, Educational or Educational Outreach institutions, Community Outreach groups, and individual artists.
