Join us for the world premiere performance of Death of Ivan Ilych, a poignant meditation and exploration of life and death.

This one-act opera will be performed onsite in the Orlando Museum of Art Grand Gallery Hall, with pre-show drinks and light appetizers, as well as a post-show dessert reception with a talk back with cast members and the creative team.

Opera Orlando premieres this adaptation of the Leo Tolstoy novella of the same name in partnership withThompson Street Opera Company.

This production will be sung in English.
The estimated run time is 1 hour and 15 minutes with no intermission.

FRIDAY | February 19 at 7:30 p.m.
SUNDAY | February 21 at 5 p.m.

ORLANDO SHAKES OFFERS OUTDOOR PERFORMANCES A Return to Live Theater
In a triumphant return to live theater, Orlando Shakes is delighted to announce three outdoor offerings. Our first live production will be a holiday cabaret starring Laura Hodos in the Darden Courtyard at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center.

Then, after 15 years, Orlando Shakes returns to Lake Eola with productions of A Midsummer Night's Dreamand Little Shop of Horrors. Sign up for our email mailing list to be the first to know when tickets go on sale for these two productions.

Because of COVID-19, our yards became our gathering places. The entertainment industry was—and still is—seriously impacted. So now we’re doing everything we can to reignite the entire community.
From early December all the way through May, come enjoy six months of incredible live entertainment, films and unique experiences during our one-of-a-kind, outdoor Frontyard Festival™, presented by AdventHealth.
You’ll find everything from music to comedy, dance to community arts, and fitness classes to holiday festivities. And you’ll pick your own socially distant box for up to five people—where you can order food and drinks from some of your favorite local restaurants while you watch your show.
