We partner with various businesses and artists from Seminole County including local restaurants, Seminole State College, local visual artists, and local performing artists to put on an evening to remember and raise money to support the arts in Seminole county!

CALL TO ARTIST: Heart for the Arts Silent Auction Donation
The Seminole Cultural Arts Council (SCAC) will be holding its 2nd heART for the Arts Award Gala on February 9, 2019 at Mercedes Benz in Sanford. The theme is “Love is an Art” and SCAC is seeking the donation of art for auction. The artist sets the minimum bid in order to maintain the value of the work. If the item sells, SCAC receives the proceeds. If it does not sell, the art work is returned to the artist.
Each of the 5 (5) selected artists will receive 2 gratis tickets to the Gala.
Interested artists may email a maximum of three (3) jpeg images to [email protected]
Artwork Submission Deadline: 5:00pm Wednesday, January 6, 2019.
- One work of art from each of five (5) artists will be selected by jury process.
- There is no specific theme, and all media types are allowed. 3D art is acceptable.
- Size restrictions are 36” height and width. No nudes may be represented.
Please include the artist’s name, address and phone number, the title of each artwork, medium and minimum bid.

Central Florida artists over the age of 18 years are invited to submit works for four sponsored galleries at our heART for the Arts Gala with the theme of “Love is an Art”. The event will be held at Mercedes Benz-North Orlando, Rinehart Road in Sanford, on Saturday, February 9, 2019.
Four artists will be chosen from eligible artists who may provide jpeg email images to a maximum of 6 works per artist. While not required of the artists in the gallery, we encourage you to bring some pieces that relate to the theme. All works must be available for sale, with 25% of sales to SCAC and 75% (less credit card fees and sales taxes) to the artist. Last year each of the gallery artists sold pieces.
Works must be original in design and execution and must not violate copyright laws. Art may not exceed 36 inches in width or height, may be in any medium including pottery and sculpture. No nudes will be accepted. No works will be hung on walls, but rather will be displayed on easels or stands which must be supplied by the artist. The jury may decline works of a political posture, sexual nature, violent or content deemed unacceptable.
The call ends at 5:00 pm on January 21, 2019.
