Krys Pettit is a Watercolor artist based in Central Florida. Her work covers the range from still life to figurative but her passion is her studies of nature and architectural detail.
Krys studied at Crealde School of Art, where she was awarded a fellowship and had the opportunity to study with local watercolor artist, Helen Hickey. She also took additional art courses at Seminole Community College and had the opportunity to study with local artist Marianna Hamilton-Ross. Krys has participated in various workshops from nationally-recognized watercolor artists, but she is primarily self-taught. Her feeling is that experience is the best teacher and the only way for her to develop her individual style!
