Important Dates

All applicants are required to attend the SCAC Grant workshop, or to set up an appointment with SCAC staff by May 21, 2010. •Weds. 5/26/2010 Grant Writing Workshop -- 3-5pm PM RSVP by 5/19/09
Location: AAA Building Room CC#3 Lake Mary, Florida
1000 AAA Drive (off International Parkway, 1 mile north of Lake Mary Blvd.)
Visitor parking is to the right of the main entrance and marked. The room is CC#3.
Attendees should sign in with the front desk and will be directed to the room.

•Sat. 8/21/2010 Application Deadline for completed applications postmarked by August 21, 2010.

• Mon 8/23/2010 Application Deadline for hand delivered applications by 5:00 p.m.

• Tues 8/31/201 Grants Review Panel Open Meeting to review applications 3:00 – 5:00 PM All applicants are strongly encouraged to be present; please inform Seminole Cultural Arts Council if you are not able to attend.

• Final Report Date Recipients must submit a Final Report to SCAC upon completion of the project - no later than sixty (60) days after the end date of the project.

Since 1995, with the support of the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners, the SCAC has awarded more than $250,000 in grants to individuals and organizations, and supports county-wide programs including "Arts in Education" and "Arts in the Community". In 2009/2010 SCAC provided funding support to organizations including the Asian Cultural Association, Fab Follies, Wekiva River Players,Spring Lake Elementary, Creative Sanford, Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center, and the Oviedo Women's Club are some of the beneficiaries of the grant program. This program is funded in part by the Florida's "State of the Arts" license plate program created by the Legislature in 1994.
